Mark Sherry, a renowned Scottish DJ, producer, label boss, radio host and tech-trance pioneer, has built a 30-year career known for his powerful sound and energetic performances. Thanks to his contagious positive energy and playful spirit, his shows are a must-see. Mark Sherry skillfully blends techno and trance, pushing genre boundaries. Having worked with labels like Reset (Spinnin), Armada/Captivating Sounds, High Contrast, Detox, Vandit and Coldharbour, Sherry also runs Outburst Records & Techburst Records, where he supports and mentors fellow his artists. 

In the same vein, Peetu S, a rising talent in trance, has a unique blend of uplifting melodies, basslines, and techno rhythms. His explosive, high-energy sets have earned him support from top DJs, making him a natural collaborator with Sherry.

But this collab would not be complete without Emma Gillespie‘s voice, a Scottish singer-songwriter who rose to fame after winning Sky One’s “Must Be the Music” talent show in 2011. She signed with Universal Records, releasing two top 10 singles and a top 14 album, later launching her own label and self-releasing two EPs and an album.

The second single from Mark Sherry’s upcoming album started its life as an instrumental with Peetu S and transformed into “Open Ocean” by calling upon Emma and her stunning vocals and inspiring lyrics. This track seamlessly blends Sherry and Peetu’s styles—an emotional yet energetic 138 BPM tune with a touch of heavier bass. And while summer may be over, Emma’s vocals are here to stay forever.
