Calling all aspiring artists and new talents looking to sharpen their skills and broaden their industry knowledge: production academy Virtuoso have announced an intense six-week schedule of live courses.
An accelerated Artist Development course, the programme promises to explore many important industry skills with insight from artists such as Elijah and Plastician and professionals representing brands such as Hospital Records, Butterz, Deep Medi, fabric, Boiler Room and Resident Advisor.
Covering topics such as mindset, creativity & productivity, branding & artist identity, blockchain & NFTs, artist management & agents, marketing & PR, and A&R & publishing, the course, which is limited to just 31 enrolees, will appeal to artists of all genres and will unravel and clarify many mysteries of the industry.
The live classes will be held online via Virtuoso’s high tech studio space where the tutors speak directly to, and interact with participants via a wall of screens. Interactive, responsive and community focused, in the past previous classes have been held by highly respected electronic music figures such as Andy C (pictured), Carl Cox, Alix Perez, Goldie, Jaguar, Becky Hill, Jamz Supernova and Roisin Murphy.
Virtuoso’s video courses have been just as talent-studded with the likes of Harriet Jaxxon, Eats Everything, Flava D, Swindle, B Traits and many more sharing their skills, knowledge and insight to help empower the new generation of artists and give them the tools to break through professionally and avoid the myriad traps and tricks the industry has.
The course commences on Weds June 29, those who enrol will have front access to the guest speakers, specialised resource materials and be tasked with interactive projects such as creating your own brand and building your own press kit.
