To me, festivals are an investment. And in my opinion, EDC Orlando is seriously underrated for its value. It’s offered me great ROI for three years in a row. Yes, I am here to have a good time and love live music. But when I think about what I get, it’s so much more than a good time. Scope the EDC Orlando 2025 lineup and discover more about what I am talking about.

Thinking back to my first EDCO, it’s what opened the door to me doing media. I happened to bring my camera in and I did the most I could with it. I left my job three months later. Seeing as I am still well fed and not homeless, I’d say that’s positive.

It brought me my best friends. The people who made moving to Florida not only attractive, but possible.

It also was the first festival I did in excess of 100k people. It opened my eyes to how much networking is possible if you’re willing. Hearing of folks talking about their top festival experiences, EDCO just doesn’t get the credit it frankly deserves.

EDC Orlando
So in this article, I am going to present to you my case on why this weekend isn’t just great – it’s underrated.
Tickets to EDC Orlando
1. It’s Cost Effectiveness and Value
Investment means taking your money and putting it somewhere to bring you value later. And we’re living in times where everything feels expensive.

I’ll be the first to admit, I am always trying to save money. But at the same time, if I am going to spend, give me the best thing.

This in mind, when I go to a live music event like this – I go VIP. I want expedited entry. Private, air conditioned bathrooms are a must. Being sardined, shoulder to shoulder in GA is not my thing. The more open space, the better I feel. And who is going to complain about shorter concession lines?

This in mind, a three day VIP pass to EDCO clocks in at a cool $505 after fees and taxes. My pocket likes that deal. Compare this to its Vegas counterpart or Ultra, you’re looking at $1000+ easy. And even if VIP isn’t your thing, a standard GA pass to Orlando is only $265 after fees and taxes. Considering the amount of artists offered in the lineup, the amenities, the spectacle…this is a steal.

EDC Orlando
Of course, the value isn’t just at the venue. Compare the commute, room and board in places like Vegas or Miami – Orlando’s margins are more than competitive. So if you’re like me and want to maximize good times and saving money, Orlando should be considered.
2. Orlando as a location
Orlando is a fun place, and I’m not just talking about EDC.
Let’s just get this part out of the way, Orlando is home to Disney World and Universal Studios. Whether you took advantage as a kid or do now as an adult, you’re gonna have a good time. What I love about this dynamic is that is that day or night, you’re covered for entertainment.
In the day, you can go to literally one of the top theme parks. Family friendly, yet still loads of fun. And at night, you basically get a theme part for adults. All the lasers, fire, and fun anyone 18+ could ask for. As well, if you’re a sports fan and you plan to get to the event late – Orlando Magic games are a lot of fun!
With the team seeing greater success in the last couple years, the crowd is energized and energy is high. And seeing as it’s the beginning of the season, good chance you can catch a day time game. That said, after the festival gets out – the downtown area of Orlando is close by. And with EDC active, everyone knows the deal.
Some of the best afters were spent in this city. When it comes to locations, the Vanguard has a very special place in my heart. After all, that was my first ever afters experience seeing Slander. Directly after I just saw them close down Saturday of EDC Orlando 2022. As well, I’ve had some great experiences at Celine to see Matroda and Gorgon City after EDC.
One last thing I love about Orlando is the fact that it is a tourist heavy location. I was raised serving tables, bussing, bar backing…the industry made me what I am. So here, much like Vegas – you are treated well whenever you spend money. For some people, this doesn’t matter.
But my desire to go back to an area isn’t just for a good time. Orlando hasn’t disappointed. EDC or otherwise.
3. The People Attending EDC Orlando

I love a lot of festivals for a lot of reasons. But when it comes to people – EDC Orlando always impresses me.

Each location I feel attracts certain demographics more than others. The people here are always some of the friendliest, kind, and loving.

When I am in Vegas or Miami or even Chicago, I notice it can be a little hard to start conversations. Go to Orlando, people have no ego about them. Why this is? Beats me.

But every time I leave a weekend of EDC Orlando, I somehow always leave with new friends. And when I think about the investment in networking, this is where this quality shines.

Especially with my main gig being media, photo and video – I want subjects to be enthusiastic.

For this, some of my best pics I’ve ever captured were at Camping World. That’s not just because this is an EDC event. It’s because of the people you can only find here.

When I think of the old saying “the people make the party”, this is what they’re talking about. Friendly, humble, and ready to make sure you have the time of your life.

What more could you ask for?
