Despite being “blacklisted” in the industry, Bassnectar is still finding time to do what he loves most. It’s no secret that the former “Bass God” is learning where his real fanbase lies and who his industry allies are. Hint: It’s not with the backwards logic of the cancel culture mob. In the latest reveal to his Unlocked community of loyal diehards, Bassnectar is hosting his only curated event of the year in sunny South Florida. Naturally, the event is a three-night run— despite his past 360 NYE shows having been listed as a single night of spectacle.

No more stadiums, no more spinning spaceship stages… just a “holiday family vacation in the sun.” The fallen-from-limelight artist is truly returning to the underground with his NYE-curated event, Into The Sun, being held December 29-31, 2024. Put on by Siren Sound Syndicate, there’s not even a venue reveal yet. Of course, the move is a necessary one to protect the safety of the venue and production staff, all of which had previously received bomb threats and death threats from a violently angry ex-fan mob. Despite this normalized model of political violence in our current times, shout out to the cancel culture mob for actually giving these shows an authentic underground vibe!

Spread across three nights in a secret TBA location, expect to see openers in 6blocc, VVVYD, JUSWAYNE, RHAKSHA, Jay Wikid, XZAAKT, Alumyna, and $EN$EI. Speaking on what to expect at the event, here is what Lorin Ashton, the man behind the music, had to say:
