FEATURING THE MUSIC OF RÖYKSOPP, FERRY CORSTEN, REBŪKE, KYAU & ALBERT, ROBERT NICKSON PRES. RAHB, MIKE EFEX, DAXSON, L.S.G. AND MARKUS SCHULZ

For more than two decades, In Search of Sunrise has embodied emotion, discovery, and the beauty of daybreak. With the release of In Search of Sunrise 21, Markus Schulz has taken the series into his own hands for the first time, curating all three chapters in a single summer-long odyssey. Following the dreamlike foundation of The Awakening, he now unveils its beating heart: Nirvana.
“The Awakening set the stage, but Nirvana is where the music fully consumes you. It’s that moment when the dancefloor becomes timeless – when the melodies and emotions carry you into another dimension. For me, this is the beating heart of ISOS 21.”
Where the first chapter whispered with dawn’s atmosphere, Nirvana surges into motion, flowing from deep progressive textures into driving melodic techno, before culminating in trance at its most euphoric. It is the soundtrack to nights without end, to moments of release on the dancefloor, and to the kind of emotional catharsis that In Search of Sunrise has always promised. Markus has curated a collection that bridges eras: legends like Röyksopp, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, and Oliver Lieb as L.S.G. share the stage with rising voices such as Cristoph, Rebūke, Hellmuth, Hel:sløwed, BLR, and Shadow Assembly. Yet at the heart of Nirvana lie moments that define its soul – among them, Markus’ own collaboration with BLR on Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, a moving tribute to Tiësto’s original ISOS legacy, reimagined for a new generation. Robert Nickson breathes new life into his beloved classic Heliopause, while Daxson unveils a special ISOS version of Amber Horizon – an introspective counterpoint to his signature high-energy style. And as the mix draws to its close, Markus delivers the deeply emotional What Remains of Us, a finale destined to resonate long after the music fades.
Reflecting on the mix, Markus explains:”Nirvana is about the nights when the music completely takes over, when time disappears, and you’re swept away in the emotion of it all. It’s where the legacy of In Search of Sunrise meets its future.”
In Search of Sunrise 21 – Nirvana: For The Next Generation Of Dreamers arrives August 27, with the trilogy’s final chapter The Nocturnal Voyage completing the journey on September 17, alongside the full CD and vinyl box set, also from Sept 17.
