GRAMMY–nominated brother duo Grey have cultivated a career making mega-hits with world-famous artists such as Zedd, Camila Cabello, and Sofia Carson – a timeline that has bestowed the producers a wealth of experience crafting indelible electronic bangers.

In addition to their viral remixes of songs by superstars such as Skrillex, Selena Gomez, Mike Posner, Troye Sivian, and Ariana Grande, the duo gained global recognition for their work on Zedd‘s ‘The Middle.’ The 6x platinum dance-pop classic, which held the #1 spot on the US Top 40 charts for five consecutive weeks, accumulated three GRAMMY nominations, and two iHeartRadio Music Awards, was the follow-up to the duo’s other collaboration with Zedd, ‘Starving‘ – the RIAA 4x Platinum Record with singer Hailee Steinfield that landed #5 on the US Top 40 charts.

Today, Grey has released their new CONTRA EP, a 5-track collection that combines a lavish blend of deep bruising bass and grimy house stylings. Adventurous, emotional, and brimming with endless creativity, CONTRA takes Grey out of the shadows of peers they helped launch to stardom, and cement the duo as proper stars themselves.

Fans got their first taste of CONTRA with the EP’s first four singles, ‘7-DS feat. AWAY,’ ‘RAVEN feat. Virtual Riot,’ ‘CONTRA,’ and ‘IDK‘ – dynamic, bass-fueled tracks that are filled to the brim with crisp, expertly crafted electronic production. The fifth addition to the EP is ‘SILVER LINEN,’ a collaboration with LA-based vocalist SAYAK DAS. Lush, dreamy, and replete with rich, textured bass house production, ‘SILVER LINEN’ caps off Grey’s CONTRA era in grand fashion.

‘SILVER LINEN’ kicks off with SAYAK DAS’ infectious, indelible vocals, a run of catchy melodies that float on top of ethereal synth pads. The track then builds with the pre-chorus before dropping into its bass-house hook, a central section that blends blazing bass synth sound design, sizzling hi-hats, and vocal chops over a thumping four-on-the-floor beat. The second verse keeps the momentum going, adding layers of acoustic guitar chords before building up to the second drop – a cacophonous, cathartic resolution to the whole CONTRA EP.
