Lightning in a Bottle, which happens annually in Southern California, is a fan favorite amongst many festival attendees. Not only does the 50-day event bring a massive lineup of talented artists and producers, it creates a magical atmosphere for all. We’re only 3 months away from 2022, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start prepping for the warmer months that are to follow. LIB is clearly on that page, as they’ve announced that 2022’s theme is “Where Lightning Strikes“. It’s hoping to continue to embody the festival’s long standing ethos of creating space and expressiveness. There’s a lot that is to come with this theme!
A New Page for LiB: Stage Changes, Art Cars, Glamping + More
Do LaB, the creators of the festival, has reimagined the entire production, iterating on some past favorite features and bringing in some new ones too. A new beach is set to welcome all during the daytime. A welcome party will be held on Thursday. The grounds will have a fresh new layout, which will mean less walking (which is always a good thing!). They’re also introducing roaming art cars throughout the whole week that will host surprise pop-up performances.
The main stages, Thunder and Woogie, will be getting some upgrades as well. Thunder will now house many genres and also be transformed info a tree-lined theater. Woogie will now be active for all 5 days and will continue to be the premier house and techno stage. Lastly, a new stage, Junk in the Trunk, will be replacing the Favela stage. It will still be the home to an array of talented California native house and techno artists.
Camping options are being expanded, too! There is a new boutique camping experience available called Atlaswyld. It is a festival-within-a-festival that features glamping options and more. This all includes luxurious trailers to sleep in, amazing food, happy hours, yoga and wellness activities, and more. It’s worth checking out the details of these options when you head to grab a ticket.
Tickets
Get ready to start planning your trip to Buena Vista Lake on the weekend of May 25-30! LiB not one to miss. General ticket sales begin on November 5th at 10AM PST. Payment plans are available as well – starting at 25% down on your entire order.
See you then!
