Today in Stockholm. Prince Carl and Princess Sofia of Sweden, along with Avicii’s (Tim Bergling’s) Father, cut the ribbon to the new interactive Avicii Museum. The Museum was produced and curated by Pophouse Entertainment in collaboration with Tim’s family.
The museum is an emotional tribute that takes you through the story of Avicii’s life. The layout works using different rooms to explain Avicii’s path. It begins in his childhood room, and then takes you to his first basement studio. And then on to his more polished music production space in Los Angeles where it features his grand piano playing an acoustic version of ‘Sunset Jesus’.
The different rooms of the curation take you through the events and places that shaped Avicii as an artist. It goes into his creative process, and shows private photos, personal belongings, new videos, and unreleased music.
Interactive
The interactive element allows one to enter a ‘VR karaoke space’ and ‘meet’ Avicii’s closest collaborators (including Sandro Cavazza, Aloe Blacc, and Carl Falk). There is another room that allows you to create your own version of his skyrocketing song ‘Levels’. On a more somber note, there is also a room that explores the darker side of fame. It is an over-stimulating room that exemplifies the harsh realities of endless travel, and constantly being in the spotlight.
Opens Soon
The museum opens to the public on the 26th of February and is located at ‘Space’ in Stockholm, Sweden. More information and ticket sales can be found here at https://aviciiexperience.com
