“I was born and raised in Dubai, U.A.E. to Iranian parents” begins the revered Miami based, dance music producer, Ramin Bidar.  “Growing up in Dubai was a unique experience due to the fact I was raised in a multicultural environment. Dubai provided the best of all worlds. When it comes to music, food, fashion etc. I  have been blessed to experience it all.”

What are your favorite festivals, especially in Dubai?

“As far Festivals go, I have 3 favorites, which is 1) Red Fest DXB, 2) Groove on the Grass, which were both Locally curated  and the third one is Internationally known, Tomorrowland  Dubai.”

My Favorite clubs are, Sensation Club which is influenced  by Hip Hop Music, Base Dubai that spans everything from EDM to Hip Hop, and White Dubai, which promises top  EDM music.

Those look fun.  Lets chat about your single ‘In Front of Me’ that caught the attention of Brandon Jay, CEO of IMA Music Group then hit #1 on the Digital Radio Tracker Top 150 Independent global Airplay chart, ‘In Front Of Me’.

The sound design was influenced by Brazilian Bass House. I love this genre for its phat/big sounding bass lines. I combined this genre with hip hop vocals which gives the best of both worlds. This idea was inspired from the track “BOOM” by Tiesto with Gucci Mane & SevennThe purpose behind my single is to bring Joy to the world and assist people to bond over an experience.

How did you get connected with Hookman?  Did you learn anything new during the songwriting process?

I have known him through his achievements. I found him  online, contacted him and sent him my track and he said he would like to give it a shot and that’s how “In Front of  Me” was made.

I can tell why Hookman earned a Grammy-nomination.  ‘In Front of Me’ is a sure fire dance floor weapon, with a gritty appeal for the late night crowd.  Can you share a little about your most recent ‘Colors’ EP?

Colors, is my first EP ever released. It consists of 6 tracks.  It’s a combination of progressive house, future house and bass house.  You will hear smooth vocal lines and  slamming bass lines. The EP gives you light and dark vibe tracks, hence the reason for the name colors.

What are 5 tracks you find at the forefront of electronic music?

To create the best selling album of all time!

1)Tiesto with Gucci Mane & Sevenn – Boom

2) Swedish House Mafia ft. John Martin – Don’t You Worry  Child

3) David Guetta ft Sia – Titanium (David Guetta &  MORTEN Future Rave Remix)

4) Deadmau5 ft Rob Swire – Ghosts N Stuff

5) Major Lazer & DJ Snake – Lean On

Who are some non-electronic musicians or bands you like from your side of the world?

Andy Madadian is one of the biggest Iranian Armenian  singers. He is a pop legend to us. He is the first Iranian to star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I was feeling very proud when I heard Andy and the legendary rock singer,  Jon Bon Jovi singing the song “Stand by Me” made  famous by Ben E. King. in my native language, Farsi.

What are you working on now?

My next single is going to be an ambient trap sounding track featuring a UK pop star. I’m not going to say too  much cause I believe it’s going to be a big hit. I’m very excited for this one.

When can people see you DJ?

2022 is going to be my debut. My shows will be  announced on my social media pages.

What is your favorite meal?

I don’t have one, as I love everything. To be honest,  everyday I crave something different, but most of the time  I go for spicy food.

Are there any sayings or valuable stories from your culture that we may not have heard in the US?

“Make bread while the oven is hot”. It’s basically saying that  while opportunity is there, take advantage of it. I believe in it,  because opportunity doesn’t knock at your door everyday.”
