Today, Grammy-nominated artist and producer ILLENIUM releases his self-titled fifth studio album on Warner Records, which strikes at the center of his most authentic self. “To me, a self-titled album is the core sound of who I am,” says Nick Miller, the man behind the music.
The new LP comes ahead of his album-accompanying tour and hot off the heels of a string of hit releases—most recently, a collaboration entitled “With All My Heart” with JVKE. “The song is pure ear candy to me,” ILLENIUM said previously of the track.
Prior to that, he reached No. 1 on US Dance Radio with “All That Really Matters,” featuring cover artist turned lead singer Teddy Swims. Then of course there are prior releases with some of EDM’s favorite vocalists—namely, the Nina Nesbitt-assisted track, “Luv Me A Little” and “From The Ashes,” featuring Skylar Grey.
ILLENIUM clocks in at 16 tracks in total, with a notable crossover release, “Eyes Wide Shut,” which strikes right at the core of Miller’s emo-punk spirit. The track features Avril Lavigne and Travis Barker of Blink-182, who recently made headlines at Coachella during the group’s closing set. Another popular album collaboration is “You Were Right” alongside Wooli and Grabbitz. But the standout on the LP is the Said The Sky and Vera Blue track, “Other Side,” that seamlessly blends the three artist’s signature sounds.
Landing as his fifth full-length in seven years, ILLENIUM has been on a tear of releases since his start which has catapulted him into global stardom and crossover success. Perhaps no one puts his album better than Miller himself:
“Thank you for listening and letting me explore some new territory. I absolutely love the roller coaster this album takes me on. I’d also like to thank everyone involved in helping me craft this body of work that I couldn’t be more proud of. 5 albums in 7 years is absolutely crazy to think about and it’s been the best journey I could have ever hoped for. Thank you for sticking with me and I hope y’all enjoy this one!”
