CloZee remixes Opiuo’s ‘Gravitate’ to kick off his ensuing ‘A Shape Of Sound’ album + accompanying tour

Coming off a monumental showing at Electric Forest and announcing her second annual VOYAGE curated event at The Caverns, venerated French musician CloZee still makes time to release new music between it all. The Toulouse, France-to-Denver, Colorado transplant has now undertaken an official remix of Melbourne-based talent Opiuo‘s “Gravitate,” featuring Jordan Dennis. The newly-minted rework is slated for release on Opiuo’s very-own imprint, Slurp Music.

The enthralling new production sees CloZee pivoting stylistically from its propulsive original source material, instead opting for a more atmospherically cerebral approach. From start to finish, the remix features warbly bass, infectious energy, and a high octane flair that doesn’t ever let up or surrender. Throughout her newfound take on “Gravitate,” CloZee’s signature bass-fueled approach is on full sonic display. Pivoting from its source material, she instead places an emphasis on the atmospheric and larger-than-life production stamps she’s become known and loved for.

It seems CloZee and Opiuo love the remix swap, with the latter initially remixing “Heya,” which was on CloZee’s Neon Jungle LP. The two long-time friends and collaborators also previously collaborated on a 2020 Red Rocks Mix in lieu of COVID cancellations, along with “Bam Bam” to follow up the mix.

The new single comes alongside news of a US, Australia, and New Zealand 2022 tour set to kick off later in the year, which kicks off down under on August 26 before making its way stateside throughout October. In addition to providing fans with a glimpse of what to expect with the 24-date tour, with its many TBA locations, CloZee’s “Gravitate” remix sets an exciting precedent for the release of Opiuo’s highly-anticipated forthcoming album, A Shape Of Sound.
