The group was founded by Ihsahn (guitar/vocal) and Samoth (then, drums).

1 – Mayhem

Mayhem is a Norwegian famous black metal band, formed in Langhus in 1984. Their music has extremely influenced the black metal genre. Mayhem’s early profession was admiringly controversial, especially due to their infamous live performances, the 1991 suicide of vocalist Per Yngve Ohlin (“Dead”) and the 1993 murder of guitarist Øystein Aarseth (“Euronymous”) by former member Varg Vikernes (“Count Grishnackh”) of Burzum.

The group freed a demo and an EP that were positively influential, and gathered a loyal following through sporadic and notorious live performances.
