Your music carries a balance between various styles of music, such as pop, world music, EDM, R&B, and hip-hop. How do you balance these diverse influences in your music and which genre do you feel is most central to your artistic identity?

15 years in artists development and management allowed me to work with artists and DJs worldwide. Each of them releasing various styles of music. Therefore, it only made sense to collaborate with them as I started to release my own music as a recording artist. Resulting in my very eclectic catalog of sound found on my streaming platforms.

We love your new single Smile. It’s very upbeat and catchy. What inspired it and what do you hope listeners take away from the song?

I have always been a bit of a rebel. So, when it came time to create the overall sound of my first full project it was important to me that the sound and lyrics truly represented who I am. Keeping true to this, a new Pop, Fusion, Punk Rock electronic sound emerged.

I hope my listeners will enjoy the freshness “SMILE” delivers and it inspires others to release more out of the box fusion style music.

What was it like working with Kris Kiss on this track? How did you guys get in touch?

Kris Kiss is not only an amazing talented artist, but he has such a hardworking good soul. Our working relationship is effortless. He and I were introduced through a mutual friend and SMILE is the first of several songs to be released as a collaboration.

Who is your biggest musical influence, and have you met them?

I have been very fortunate to have worked with so many talented artists. I would have to say “Kent Jones” is my biggest musical influences.

As the founder of Diamond Distro, you’re a strong advocate for independent artists. What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as an independent artist, and what advice would you give to other aspiring musicians?

It is for this reason I started Diamond Distro. It is imperative that an independent artist remains in control of its work.

There are so many moving pieces that need to be managed from the creation to the distribution process.

In order to control each of these areas I needed to first start my own record label. If you are not the record label and not the one who has control over the distribution process it is almost impossible to move as fast as you need to compete with the thousands of other independent artists releasing music. The biggest challenges an independent artist has is getting heard. The system is not set up for us to win. Therefore, without control of the label and distribution platform you are not able to move at the speed needed.

Do you have specific rituals before a live performance, and what do you aim to create for your audience when you’re on stage?

I do not have any rituals as of yet. My career as a performing artist is still new. However, my goal will always be to give my audience the best rollercoaster ride of sound and energy I possibly can.

What’s next for you after the release of “SMILE”? Can you tease any upcoming projects, collaborations, or solo releases that your fans can look forward to?

The next step for me in 2025 will be releasing my first project in which “Smile” is part of. The project is called, “Uncensored”.

I also have some amazing collaboration coming out in March with DJ Dobrel and Bomber that I know will hit big and bring additional attention to my Fastly growing artist career.

A Collaboration That Demands Attention

SPIKY and Kris Kiss each boast a unique sonic identity, and together, they deliver a track that exudes raw passion, uplifting vibes, and an infectious beat. “SMILE” is more than just a song – it’s an anthem of positivity and perseverance, perfect for any summer playlist. Their seamless vocal synergy and energetic performance make this track a must-listen for fans of boundary-pushing music.
