Paul Ewen is a 50-year-old dance music veteran, who’s spent over three decades commanding underground house and techno decks, finally steps into the studio spotlight with his own original sound. Paul Ewen, the DJ-turned-producer whose EP, Beyond Time, landed on the 14th of March, 2025, delivers a pulsating blend of Tech House, Melodic House, and Techno that’s as fresh as it is nostalgic.

For more than 30 years, Paul has been a fixture in the underground scene, spinning records since he was 16 and orchestrating iconic events that brought legends like Dave Angel, Colin Dale, Easy Groove, Colin Favour, Grooverider, Mach One, and Miss DJax to the dancefloor. His mixes have topped the Global MixCloud Dance Charts and consistently landed in the Top 10 of his category, no small feat for a man who, until recently, built his legacy on other artists’ tracks. But in September 2022, Paul flipped the script, trading his DJ booth for a production desk, and Beyond Time is the electrifying result.

This isn’t just another EP, it’s a milestone. After two years of honing his craft and initial releases on the label Space Adventures Records and his own label Poly Vinyl, this is Paul’s first release with proper vocals and original songs bursting with happy tunes, positive lyrics, and pleasant melodies that echo the dancefloor anthems he’s loved since his youth. “I’m still relatively new to making music,” Paul admits, “but I wanted to create something uplifting, inspired by the sounds that have moved me over the years.” The Beyond Time EP channels that inspiration into a sonic journey that’s both a nod to his roots and a bold step forward.

From gritty Tech House grooves to soaring Melodic House hooks and Techno’s relentless pulse, Beyond Time is a love letter to dance music’s past and a vision of its future, all crafted by a man who’s lived it.
