HARD Summer Goes Local: Pre-Festival Events Take Over LA

With HARD Summer officially sold out just days away from taking over Hollywood Park in Inglewood, the festival is spreading love through Los Angeles with a ton of local collaborations and events.

Hard Summer is sold out however tickets can be purchased here.

The third annual HARD Summer pregame is back, and this time they’ve teamed up with 12 of LA’s most beloved spots to create limited-time menu items. From July 21 to August 4, eateries across LA are rolling out exclusive, festival-inspired menu items. Fat Sal’s is dropping a “HARD x2 Smashburger”, Prince Street Pizza will be serving up their “HARD & Hot Pie”, and Uncle Stevey’s Bagels is going all out with the “Hard AF Pastrami Chopped Cheese Bagel”. Tatsu Ramen is bringing their signature touch with “HARD Fries With That”, while Canter’s Deli, a true LA establishment, is offering up a “HARD Pastrami Reuben” that sounds absolutely perfect for pre-festival fuel.

The drink and dessert game is equally as strong in the upcoming week, with Rocco’s WeHo mixing up the “Wego HARD Midori Colada” and Awakening Cybershop serving both a “Hard Launch Latte” and “Hardly Caffeinated Lavender Latte” for those who need their caffeine fix with a festival twist. The Meeting Spot is pouring “HARD Margs” and “HARD Ube Glow cocktails”, while Sweet Red Peach rounds things out with their “Hard Coded Cupcake”. It’s this kind of attention to the local food scene that really shows HARD’s commitment to celebrating LA culture beyond just the music.

For anyone who thinks the party stops when the festival gates close, think again. The HARD Weekender is bringing a solid lineup of pre- and after-parties across some of the city’s best venues. Friday kicks things off with Walker & Royce and Torren Foot B2B Airwolf Paradise at Aurora Street Warehouse, while BOU takes over Exchange LA and BOLO hits Academy LA. Saturday’s after-parties are stacked with everything from Sara Landry’s techno set at Exchange to Crankdat bringing the bass at Academy LA. Sunday wraps up the weekend with Adam Ten, Annicka, and Ben Sterling closing out Aurora Street Warehouse, plus JSTJR B2B Beauz at Exchange LA. Deorro also plays at Academy LA on Sunday night after Hard. They’re open to both festival-goers and the general public, which means even if you didn’t snag HARD Summer tickets, you can still tap into that weekend energy.

What’s really cool about this year is how they’re highlighting local talent through the Beatbox Art Car and Locals Only Ice Cream Truck stages at the festival. They’re featuring artists like Athena, Habstrakt, and Shay Elys on the Beatbox Art Car, while the Locals Only Ice Cream Truck is showcasing DJs like John Bryars, Marie Nyx, and Cquestt. It’s a solid way to give LA’s up-and-coming artists a platform alongside the festival’s massive lineup that includes headliners like Feid, Kaytranada, and Gesaffelstein.

Since 2008, HARD Summer has grown from a cool idea into LA’s largest electronic music festival, and initiatives like these show exactly why it’s maintained that special connection to the city. Rather than just parachuting in for two days and leaving, they’re creating a whole ecosystem of events and collaborations that celebrate what makes LA’s music and food scene so special. With the festival now sold out and these local partnerships in full swing, it’s clear that HARD Summer 2025 is going to be more than just a weekend – it’s a proper LA celebration.

The festival takes place August 2-3 at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, but the real party starts now with all these local spots serving up their HARD collaborations. Whether you scored tickets or not, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action and support some of LA’s best local businesses while you’re at it.
