Chris Lake Rinses The Eastern In Atlanta With Powerful Show

British DJ and producer Chris Lake came through Atlanta at The Eastern this past Friday. This was a makeup show after not being able to make it a couple months back due to unforeseen circumstances. So, the audience was very eager to see Mr. Lake show off his repertoire of hits. He did not disappoint one bit. I would say this was the best Chris Lake scene I have ever seen. I believe the last time I saw him play was at Treehouse in Miami for a more intimate set.

His set at The Eastern was powerful, controlling, and filled with unreleased music. Some of my favorite moments were when he played his Aluna collab “Beggin'”. The crowd was deafening with the “oohs.” Really special moment. Shortly after he turned to his Sammy Virji “Summertime Blues.” The vocals from Nathan Nicholson paired perfectly with the blue lighting that flickered in the darkness of the moment. As the set drew on there was a moment that Chris took to the mic to announce, “I’m just going to bash you over the head with unreleased music.” The crowd absolutely lost it in this moment and we all never came down. A special night capped off with his “in2minds” collaboration with Disclosure that also released on Friday. If you get a chance to witness the uber talented Chris Lake, do not pass up the chance.
