Hi Alfiya Glow! How are you? 
Hello, doing fantastic, thank you for having me! 

As a classically trained violinist who transitioned into the world of Electronic Dance music, what initially drew you to explore EDM, and how do you incorporate your classical background into your Electronic music productions? 

Transitioning into EDM was a natural evolution for me. I was drawn to the energy and creativity of the genre, which provided a new platform to express myself as a musician. My classical background has been instrumental in shaping my approach to Electronic music. I incorporate classical techniques, such as intricate melodies and dynamic phrasing, into my productions, adding a unique touch of sophistication to my tracks. 

Your journey from Sochi, Russia, to becoming a renowned DJ and producer has been incredibly inspiring, can you share some pivotal moments or experiences that shaped your career along the way? 

One pivotal moment was when I performed at Electric Forest. It was a magical experience that solidified my passion for Electronic music and showed me the power of connecting with a live audience. Another memorable experience was releasing my track ‘New Earth’ with Enormous Tunes, which marked a significant milestone in my career and opened doors to new opportunities in the EDM scene.  

Your releases with Enormous Tunes showcase your ability to blend Classical finesse with modern beats, can you tell us about the creative process behind these tracks and the inspiration behind them?

My creative process often begins with a melodic idea or a musical theme inspired by personal experiences or emotions. I then work on drums, synths and textures while incorporating live violin elements to create a seamless blend of classical finesse and modern production.
 

From performing with prestigious orchestras to headlining festivals like Electric Forest, you’ve had an eclectic range of experiences; what has been the most memorable moment of your career so far, and why? 
There have been countless beautiful moments throughout my career, making it difficult to choose just one. However, one memory that stands out vividly is when I had the incredible opportunity to perform solo alongside a prestigious orchestra in Sochi at the tender age of 5. It was a surreal experience for me as a young child, and it ignited a deep passion and unwavering dedication to music that has stayed with me ever since. 

Collaboration seems to be a significant part of your musical journey, having worked with producers like Larry Gold and Kenny Lloyd. How do these collaborations influence your creative process, and what do you look for in a musical collaborator?

Collaborating with producers like Larry Gold and Kenny Lloyd has been enriching and has expanded my musical horizons. Their unique perspectives and expertise brought fresh ideas to the table, inspiring me to push the boundaries of my creativity. When seeking collaborators, I prioritize establishing a genuine human connection. I find that when we truly understand each other, the project flows effortlessly, resulting in authentic and compelling music. 
 

Your podcast, Haus Glow, gives listeners a glimpse into your musical tastes and latest projects, what do you enjoy most about curating these episodes, and how do you select the tracks you feature?

Curating episodes of Haus Glow allows me to share my musical journey with listeners and showcase tracks that resonate with me on a personal level. I select songs that evoke emotions and tell a story, whether it’s through captivating melodies or infectious beats. It’s a joy to connect with my audience through music and introduce them to new artists and sounds. Additionally, I weave my electric violin throughout the episodes, adding a unique layer of depth and emotion. Recently, I’ve delved into experimenting more with FX pedals and looping, which my audience can expect to experience more of in future episodes. 

As a featured artist of Symphony 21, you’re involved in initiatives that promote youth engagement in the arts. Why is it important for you to support these causes, and how do you see your role evolving in the future? 
Supporting non-profits like Symphony 21 aligns with my belief in the transformative power of music and the arts. These platforms provide opportunities for young people to explore their creativity, build confidence, and connect with others in meaningful ways. As an artist, I see myself playing a role in inspiring the next generation of musicians and fostering a culture of artistic expression and collaboration. 

Your performances often incorporate both DJing and live violin playing, how do you balance these elements during a live set, and what do you hope listeners take away from your performances? 

Balancing DJing and live violin during a performance is all about finding the right moments to seamlessly integrate the two elements. I aim to create a beautiful blend between Electronic tracks and live violin improvisations. My aspiration is for listeners to walk away from my performances feeling uplifted and inspired, experiencing powerful emotions that they may not have been able to evoke on their own. 

Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for the future of your music career? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about? 

I aspire to continue pushing the boundaries of my creativity and exploring new musical territories. My ultimate goal is to create music that resonates with people on a deep level and leaves a lasting impact on the Electronic music scene. Additionally, I’m eagerly anticipating the release of my next two tracks from the ‘Leaving Origin’ EP, followed by the full EP itself. These releases mark significant milestones in my musical journey, and I can’t wait to share them with my fans and listeners.
