Michael Bibi has donated to a cause. The Solid Grooves founder has contributed over £120,000 to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The pledge was made following his One Life show at Finsbury Park. Bibi’s One Life festival had taken over the same venue on the 6th of July for a day. This show was part of his One Life World Tour to commemorate his cancer-free status since December 2023. The tour oversees another five shows across Europe through late September.

The English DJ and producer was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of brain and spinal cancer termed CNS Lymphoma. Subsequent shows were cancelled as he was admitted into London’s Royal Marsden Hospital. He announced last December that he was officially free of cancer. Bibi’s ‘One Life’ approach marks a new shift for the previously heavily touring DJ. This majorly implements a select number of shows, mostly during the day and early evening for the artist.

“Today I visited the Royal Marsden for my regular check-ups and to present the staff with the money we raised from the One Life show at Finsbury Park“, he wrote. “To everyone who was part of this show, thank you for making this possible“.

The Finsbury Park show also witnessed representatives from the Royal Marsden hospital with information booths. These booths were aimed to cultivate awareness for cancer prevention and treatment. Bibi also promoted attendees to join the stem cell transplant register in association with UK Charity Anthony Nolan. The line-up for the day included the likes of Dixon, Chloé Caillet, Enzo Siragusa, and Salomé Le Chat.
