The rave scene in Miami is heating up after Insomniac introduced a new edition of Dreamstate. Not only is Dreamstate coming to Miami Music Week, but it’s competing directly with Ultra. Ultra will be hosting Armin’s A State of Trance on Friday and Dreamstate will run on Saturday and Sunday. The implication is that trance fans could just skip Saturday and Sunday of Ultra.
This is the latest in what is becoming a turf war between Ultra and Insomniac. Prior to 2020 Ultra “owned” the Miami EDM scene, but then Insomniac purchased Space, Space Park, and Factory Town. Now Insomniac is counterprogramming Ultra with events from Insomniac Records, Factory 93, Dreamstate, and we’re sure that’s not the end. We can only imagine that there is some drama around lineups as Ultra and Insomniac fight for exclusivity.
Dreamstate Miami is taking place on March 26-27, 2022, bringing the trance vibes that ravers love. Additionally, tickets are on sale Wednesday, February 19 at 1 pm EDT; find them here.
