After two years of postponement brought on by the pandemic, Movement Detriot have just unveiled a tiny preview into their routinely world-class billing for techno and house. The list is short and slated with powerhouse acts, giving techno heads only a little taste of what’s to come on the incoming behemoth line-up.
Three seasoned techno artists will headline Movement’s 2022 edition: Iconic Detroit-born DJ and Axis Records head Jeff Mills, Swedish juggernaut and Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, and longtime Movement favorite Richie Hawtin will lead the mainstage at Hart Plaza in the heart of downtown Detroit.
For some b2b action, Goldie will share the decks with LTJ Bukem, Eris Drew and Octo Octa will take the stage together. With other notable roster artists in ANNA, Carl Craig, Claude VonStroke, Louie Vega, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, and more, the full lineup is expected to be revealed in coming weeks.
Festival producer Paxahau unveiled the headliners while announcing an initial batch of performers for this spring’s event. Movement Detroit has typically featured 90-plus artists on multiple stages, along with countless afterparties and other underground events around the city.
The three-day event is scheduled for its usual Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30. View the full lineup tease below and purchase tickets here.
