When it comes to dubstep, one can always count on BroMosapien to homage to the greats while simultaneously taking a forward-thinking approach. That’s why we’ve been so keen on the North Carolinian known around his stomping grounds as Andy Underwood. From featuring the rising bass purveyor on our 2022 Artists To Watch shortlist to his “Shakedown” and “Beyond Zones” premieres, BroMosapien’s style, technical approach, and all-around moxie is always something to behold.

For his latest mixtape madness venture, and in right in time to celebrate his birthday, BroMosapien has gifted the underground bass community with a dizzying dubstep journey nodding back to pioneers like Kursa, Flux Pavilion, Emalkay, and Justice. Simultanouesly, Underwood makes sure to highlight hot new artists like Chef Boyarbeatz, Hamdi, Flozone, and many more.

The 45-minute adventure is also a wild ride through an ID-laden land of unreleased music, giving listeners an taste into what’s coming down the pipelines in terms of BroMosapien’s future output. This includes five of his own original productions as well as collaborations with Snakko and NotLö (which follows up their first joint effort on her OUTSKIRTS EP). Along the way, he also reveals a couple of IDs from his friends OkayJake and Sully.

Lastly, BroMosapien has carefully curated a mix jam-packed with plenty of flips, edits, and mashups of some huge stars in hip-hop and pop, which showcases what’s on the horizon for his live show. Infact, the artists explains that the mix was built around this intention. Underwood tells CE,

“This mix is just a TINY taste of what to expect at my upcoming live shows. Loads of new music & exclusives that will never be released packed into this. This is more so my ‘dubstep’ mix since I didn’t really go down the halftime/DnB rabbit hole as much… next time though…”
